How to 'Like' links as yourself on your nonprofit's Facebook page

If you've been trying to "Like" links or other posts from a nonprofit Facebook page that you are an administrator, you may have experienced the way that Facebook treats those "Likes" as though they come from the page instead of from your personal account. Fortunately the fix is quite simple.

We've got three administrators for our Facebook page, and if one of us posts something and either of the others "Like" it, it was showing up as if our page liked its own links. To change this behavior, go to the page and click "Edit page." This pulls up the settings that you can modify, and in the left column you will see a selection titled "Your Settings." Within this area, you simply have to uncheck the box that says "Always comment and post on your page as [your nonprofit page], even when using Facebook as [your personal account]."

Save changes, and you're done. You will only be using Facebook as your nonprofit's page when you explicitly decide to do so.
