We worked with the African American Baptist Mission Collaboration to design logos for the collaboration and for their main focus, the "Haiti Will Rise" program. We kept the color scheme consistent to show the connection between them. The AABMC logo includes imagery of cords or ropes being interwoven, with five crossing points which represent the five historic Baptist conventions that came together to form the collaboration and to illustrate the "pulling together" theme that defines their approach.
Logo
EEMA logo
The East End Mutual Aid logo incorporates a number of elements from their self-produced posters, imagery, and calling cards. The intention was to create an identity that grew out of who they were and to resist making it too glossy and shiny.
Social Justice Philanthropy Collaborative logo
The Social Justice Philanthropy Collaborative (SJPC) logo is based around concepts that came out of our initial discussions and the logo questionnaire that we provided for them to fill out. It was built around themes such as movement/circular motion, collaboration, and growth.
Centurion's Shield/Cup/Purse/Sword
This logo for Centurion's Shield was designed to be expandable to a number of other programs that were planned for the future.
PGCF - partnership logo
This logo and letterhead were developed for the Prince George Community Foundation's "Partnership".
PGCF logo
This logo and letterhead were developed for the Prince George Community Foundation.
CFNCR - Spirit of Giving 100 logo
Logo for a funding circle of “100 donors” to pool their resources and make high-impact grants. The challenge was to use part of the newly redesigned CFNCR logo and incorporate it with a well designed logo type for the fund.
Center of Concern logo
Center of Concern came to CEDC looking to redesign and refreshen the organizational identity. The staff of COC wanted a more youthful, forward thinking design, that had to include a globe and the concept of movement. Combining rough brush strokes, a san serif font and a more vibrant youthful color combination, CEDC was able to create a eye catching logo that is the basis for their entire organizational design standard.
NCPD Logo
NCPD came to us with some specific components and colors that they wanted included in their logo and we worked closely with them as early drafts were produced and the concept became more concrete. In the end, a simple cross that evoked terms like bird, spirit, and arms was settled on to symbolize Catholic openness and inclusion.
Ballou STAY logo
Ballou STAY came to us with little guidance for their logo besides that they wanted a bird of some kind. We drafted a number of versions, including one which included a stylized bird form that also doubled as a stylized book (to symbolize the educational function of the school). In the end they decided they wanted a more vibrant bird which could also act as a mascot of sorts and we went with a more traditional bird of prey.
LSNV logo
The Legal Services of Northern Virginia logo includes stylized people that also resemble an architectural pillar such as you would find on a courthouse to depict both the people they serve and the work that they do for them.
DC YAC logo
The DC Youth Advisory Council (DC YAC) came to us for a logo and specifically requested a graffiti style. We incorporated an image of a youth voice that also incorporated some traditional DC imagery in a non-traditional way, such as the shape of DC and the "stars and bars" that form the voice.
UCC - Our Faith Our Vote logo
This logo was used extensively in the UCC's "Our Faith Our Vote" campaign.
Living Wages logo
We continue to get positive feedback on this logo because of the expressiveness of the figures that are opening up in the image, providing a clear sense of the hope and opportunity that the Living Wages program provides.
IGTN logo
The International Gender and Trade logo incorporates a globe with dynamic movement.
HFTC Collaborative Council - logo
The Healthy Families Thriving Communities Collaborative Council logo.
