After nearly 14 years, it's time for us to bid a bittersweet bon voyage to Will Simpson, who has been involved in almost every aspect of CEDC's work over the years. He has been involved in planning and administration, responsible for the infrastructure, our point person for partnerships and networking, and has even gotten his hands dirty digging in the soil and fixing leaks. He's written proposals, worked on websites, and trained partners to manage their own sites. He's been our representative on the Nonprofit Roundtable Membership Committee and greeted so many of our partners who have come to the Stuart Center building for meetings. Through all the years and all the changes that have occurred, Will has kept his focus on our mission and found ways that he could participate in furthering our partners' goals and empowering them. He was an inaugural recipient of the Kit Collins Micah Award in recognition of his personal and professional commitment to social justice.
He has accepted a position that seems tailor-made for his interests, skills, and passions. He will be the Director of Development at the Nora School, as well as working directly with students, teaching classes on media, internet and music.
Join us in sending him off -- thanks, Will, and best wishes!
