We were thrilled to be able to attend the Nonprofit Roundtable's CommMission event this morning at the offices of the Center for Association Leadership offices this morning. The theme was "Leveraging Communications" and there was a fabulous panel made up of Jim Dinegar, Laura Meyers, Ilir Zherka, and Debbie Jarvis.
If you have been in and around the Washington area this week, it has been tremendous to see the many people here to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington, culminating in today's commemoration of the exact moment 50 years ago when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech.
The Center for Educational Design and Communication (CEDC) is an office of the Stuart Center, a nonprofit that serves other nonprofits, social justice, and faith-based groups. CEDC provides graphic design and web development services to a wide variety of partners. We have a need for additional web designers or developers on a per-project contracted basis. On October 10th we were very happy to share in celebrating the Nonprofit Roundtable's 10th Anniversary at the Kellogg Center at Gallaudet University. This celebration brought together some of the best and brightest from the nonprofit community, and those in attendance we lucky to hear three tremendous speakers, Mario Morino of Venture Philanthropy Partners, Paul Lee of Google.org, and Benjamin Todd Jealous of the NAACP.
On Wednesday, October 10th one of CEDC's closest partners, the Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington had their tenth anniversary celebration. Held at the Kellogg Conference Center on the campus of Gallaudet University and attended by many of the best and brightest from the nonprofit sector in the DC region it was clearly evident the power and reach that this great organization has.
