PARTNER: Seekers Church
PROJECT TYPE: Nonprofit Web Design | Joomla

In 1991 a member of Seekers Church designed a web site that featured all of their sermons, liturgies and core documents. The content was highly regarded by pastors around the world but by 2007 the design needed to be modernized. CEDC used the Joomla content management system (CMS) to design a new site reorganizing the old content and adding new features like "Meet a Seeker" and a gallery of Seekers' art. An added benefit of using a web-based CMS like Joomla is that Seekers members are able to add content themselves on any web-enabled computer. The work that was done by one member is now shared by many.

My experience with Laryn has been exceptional! Not only was he professional and prompt, I thought he was fair in pricing. As a small non-profit trying to stretch our pennies I felt they went far with this organization. The work he's done thus far was exceptional and can't wait to work with him in the near future.

The Beyond Charity report looks terrific, both in print and as a PDF, which is important because this piece was designed with electronic distribution in mind. As a writer, I especially appreciate that the report is visually engaging, which makes it a more effective tool for communicating information to a variety of stakeholders. The words and the design work hand in hand, and the design is both attractive and functional, giving readers important cues and multiple entry points into a necessarily text-heavy document. Great design like this makes my job easier and more rewarding -- and as always, it was a pleasure working with CEDC!
